i thought mezhukkuperratti involves tamarind.. i normally make it with colacasia.... its starts with seasoning and then the vegetables are put along with turmeric, chilli powder and salt and tamarind extract and allowed to cook.. may be i had my names all jumbled...good going swapna.. i can now cross check whether i am doing things in the right way... all the best!
ReplyDeleteJyothi, what you have mentioned is Chembu pulivitta curry. Mezhukuperatti does not involve tamarind. Thanks for the feedback.
ReplyDeleteYou did it ! My mom makes this by adding carrots a little , a few payaru pieces , ( string beans) and the veggies are well, cooked quite soft and mushy which is very tasty. Good that you put this up! It's an all time favourite.
